From the judges: This was the strongest magazine entry in the category. The background work that went into developing the story ideas and copy was as impressive as the final piece. The design and layout were enhanced by the good use of white space throughout, and holds your attention. Photography was exceptional, and the use of faculty holding Polaroids was quite creative. Featuring various stories in other media (website, social media, etc.) was a smart choice.

About this Entry: Launched in the fall of 2017, CMCI Now magazine showcases research and creative work by alumni, students and faculty in the College of Media, Communication and Information at CU Boulder. Print editions (available online at colorado.edu/cmcinow) are published twice annually, with digital-only editions published seasonally. As the magazine enters its fourth year in circulation, it has proved to be a valuable tool for engaging with alumni and donors, as well as prospective students and faculty, industry partners, and the college’s on-campus community.
